How long has it sabbatum there without usage? These machines need to exist cleaned and used pretty habitually, or else these things happen. As well sometimes parts are nto designed to go the distance.

After cleaning all filters and lines, effort it and see if it behaves better

November 5, 2019

I have a John Deere lt155 tractor that runs groovy until I outset to become upwards a hill and then it stalls out. Information technology is like it runs out of gas (tank is full of gas ) and when I turn the tractor around to go downward information technology fires right up and runs great.

Information technology sounds like a fuel pump event in the tractor. If the fuel pump is not working at 100% this is what happens when you go upwards a hill and switch from level ground.

The pump is not pushing enough gas through the motor to keep the car running.

Hi,

Run into if at that place is an idle screw on the carburetor. If in that location is, turn it to meet if this affects the gas flow.

Come across if turning it clockwise volition reduce the gas and turning the screw counterclockwise volition increase the gas.

There are some other tips on this link. I hope this helps you with your John Deere.

I recall y'all are correct nearly not holding down the starter switch, because information technology may fire out the starter.

There is a kill switch under the seat that prevents the mower from running unless someone is sitting on it. Maybe yours needs to be disconnected and reconnected to make the mower work.

xxx hours is pretty new. Can you contact the store where you bought information technology and ask? I would not mess with it if information technology is notwithstanding nether warranty as you could invalidate the warranty. Go right to the store or the John Deere site that one of the other posters suggested.

Is it possible there is a remember? That would outcome in a free ready. Best wishes!! Postal service back what y'all learn!

MY PROBLEM WAS A LITTLE DIFFERENT* MY MOWER WOULD Finish Dead Later Virtually AN Hr.I BLEW AIR THOUGH THE GAS LINE Back TO THE TANK-ENGINE STARTED QUICKLY , BUT STALLED A WHILE LATTER . ***PROBLEM SOLVED **** I HAD OVERLOOKED A BLOCKED GAS __PUMP_(( AIR))_ FILTER ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE PUMP HOUSING (a small circular filter about a half the size of a dime ). i brushed it very gently with a dry rag ,then wiped information technology once again with just a dab of booze.

PS. I REMEMBER SEEING THE CLEAR GAS FILTER BEING One-half Total WHILE THE ENGINE WAS RUNNING, BUT Disregarded Information technology, (WELL) ,(Considering THE ENGINE WAS RUNNING OK ??? PS#2 AS SOON AS THE LITTLE GAS PUMP ((AIR)) FILTER WAS CLEANED, THE Clear GAS LINE FILTER WAS COMPLETELY Total WHILE RUNNING ! Promise THIS SAVES SOMEBODY SOME TIME. GOOD LUCK DENNIS in PA

I have cleaned the carburetor, inverse the plugs, air filter and oil and filter. I bypassed the safety switch under the seat but that seems to exist working fine.

I took the gas line off the carburetor to make certain the fuel pump was pumping good and it was.

Question: John Deere Lx279 Keeps Stalling?

November 4, 2015

I have a 2000 John Deere lx279. It starts correct up, but later ten-fifteen mins of mowing information technology begins to lose power and eventually dies. I can wait v-10 mins and it fires correct support and once more 5-10 mins later information technology dies. It's acting like its starving for fuel. I accept completed the maintenance kit, oil, filter, fuel filter, air filter, and new plugs. I noticed when I put the new plugs in it ran for several weeks without outcome, but now I am having the same issue after very few hours on the new plugs. I noticed excessive corrosion on the battery and solenoid so I cleaned all the connections and again no fix.

I'g wondering if a bad bombardment or charging system would crusade it to die? It would sort of make sense if there is no juice to power the motor. I am going to load exam the battery tomorrow. I take non messed with the carb yet as I don't run across that being the effect as information technology runs fine for a period of time. Every bit I mentioned I have gone weeks without the effect so dubiousness it's the carb. Anyone else had this issue with 17hp liquid cooled Kawasaki?

I had the same effect with my JD 265. I finally torqued down the basics that agree the carb to 22 ft lbs. Problem went away. I estimate there was air getting in which didn't bother it when it was common cold, but once it got warm, or rev was too loftier, or too much pull on the engine, that gas/air ratio was off enough to kill it. Gratis to try anyway!

I had the same trouble on my JD GT255. I measured the igniter ohms (from spark plug cable connector to the metal base, 14 ohms). Bought a new igniter and cable, vii ohms, from Amazon for about 25 dollars. Problem has completely gone away. Before doing all this I had used a plug tester that showed good spark, weak spark, or no spark at various times.
